Kaipara Regen Agriculture Introductory Day

Are you curious about what regenerative agriculture is and what are the principles that you could apply to your farm?

This day is a chance to explore your curiosity and, if you are interested, contribute to the formation of a new group for Kaipara farmers.

This field day is on a Kaukapakapa property which has been implementing regenerative farming practises over recent years. The owners previously owned and operated a traditionally-managed dairy farm up north. On their current property, they have been planting cover crops and multiple species grass mixes, and are using humates, vermicast, EM, fish fertiliser and dung beetles.

This is your chance to find out what they have been doing and to see and discuss some of the results, both successes and the problems they have learnt from.

NOTE: as this is the first event organised by the group, places are limited and priority will be given to farmers from the Kaipara area interested in joining the group. It may be necessary to turn some applicants down - apologies in advance if this happens to you. If the day is a success, this will lead the way to further activities open to more people.
